Had a procedure covered at time of service, but school retroactively ended plan BEFORE service date. Now stuck with huge bill. Options?

I received a procedure from Planned Parenthood in January 2022. At the time, I was covered under my school insurance (Insurance dates were from September 2021 through August 2022). I had other procedures done in January and I was not charged any out of pocket costs. In February 2022, I started my job so I changed to my company's health insurance. I contacted my school to cancel my plan, with the assumption that it would be active until the day I started my job. However, my school cancelled my insurance plan and ended the plan December 2021.

The procedure claim was processed July 2022 and my school insurance denied it.

So far, I have contacted my insurance company and there does not seem to be any way to fight this bill. I also contacted Planned Parenthood and they don't seem to be willing to lower my out of pocket cost.

I was wondering if there are other options I can take? The bill isn't going to kill me, but I would prefer to not pay it (or at least the full amount).
