had a car accident with no fault from me, I got a bill now from the hospital.

Got a rear end and I had neck pain at that time. I went to the emergency room (did not expect this to be that expensive.) I used the auto policy of the car that hit my car at that time.

Statefarm told me they could pay the medical bill up to 15K even though my neck was just stiff and in pain only. They did an x-ray and did not find anything.

I recovered within 2 weeks with medications prescribed from the emergency room but I had to skip my work for a week because of the neck pain.

That was 4 months ago and I got the bill from the hospital saying “Per your insurance carrier, they sent you the insurance payment for our services. Please send your payment today” The bill was 8700$.

I already signed the settlement paperwork and I am not sure they refused to pay since I did not receive any money other than 1200$ of pain and suffering. No medical bill from them…

I have my health insurance and I am curious if I can use my health insurance retroactively as well in the worst case scenario.

Thanks for reading it.
