Got coverage from job recently, but have had 2 plan periods in 2 months, now deductible is destroyed and I’m out tons of cash. Anything I can do?

Coverage started Sept 17, 2023. I had my routine IV I get bi-monthly for colitis, always free on old Medicaid before job, now $4000 on this new employee plan. Great.

Okay, well it hits deductible, but no. I get email ON Nov. 1st that a new plan year has started ON Nov 1st.

Oct 31st was the claim. πŸ™‚

Now they are also telling me, as you can see in linked pics, that this new plan year is a freaking month as well, Nov to Dec. 31st.

I had no idea plan year would end when it did. I accept any blame I guess being a newbie, but this is my first real job and "real" insurance and it takes a while to get sign-ins and the websites up and running and HR made no attempt to explain any of this to me. My plan year was over before I realized how to check for that.

What is happening and what can I do?

If I got my scheduled IV that I have coming up in December, it would literally just be $4000 again, counting toward nothing. Definitely rescheduling that.
