Getting medication after a move to MO from NY

Managed to land a job at home in St. Louis, MO and moved back in with my parents after living in NY for a spell after grad school+pandemic combo. I am enrolled in a MO Healthnet medicaid plan and I cannot for the life of me find a hospital or provider that can get an appointment before next year. I’m trying to widen my search for a psychiatrist in particular, as I am about to run out of medication soon that I take for my mental health issues. Have tried reaching out to several psychiatrists as well as general practitioners to try to get a referral, received no contact back or incredibly long wait times if accepting new patients at all. really just kind of floundering around at this point.

Luckily my new job will provide me with insurance I think after my 90-day probationary period is over, but in the interim do I have any options other than just…either paying directly out of pocket or uhh…raw dogging it without any meds for a while? My mental health is already feeling pretty dire just adjusting to this job so far, not to mention physical issues with being on my feet working so long.

Do I need to just travel far and wide to find a doctor who isn’t booked up? Am I looking in the wrong places? Any advice or suggestion welcome, thank you if you read this far.
