full time student help!
Hello,
I am making this post in hopes that someone can guide me in the right direction. I am currently a full time college student that does not provide any form of health insurance benefits, as some universities do. I work part time at a Sherriffs office, but they only provide health insurance to those that are full time. I currently pay $330 a month for health insurance, and I am 23 years old with no health issues. Right now, my finances are shot and my bills are covering almost 100% of what I make a month, and I am trying to find a way to cut down on expenses, with the hopes that I may be able to find a way to have cheaper insurance or some kind of basic, minimum coverage. I live in Florida, Iโve tried to look at state benefits but it says I donโt qualify, even though I make less than $30k a year part time and I am single. I work my max hours, and I am at max credit hours in school, that cannot be switched to part time reference co-requisite classes.
For anyone who has been in my boat, or similar, or just has some knowledge on this- is there any guidance that could be given to me about finding health insurance that is maybe cheaper, or am I just out of luck and normal for my age?
Thank you in advance.
