Florida Blue BCBS Options vs Select Plans

Looking for health insurance for my mom (63F).

She currently has a Blue Options plan but her monthly premium significantly increased at last renewal so we're now looking to change plans. She lives in Florida and I live in Washington. She spends 3-4 months a year living with me. We've been looking at Blue Options plans since it is a PPO so that she has coverage across the country.

I just got off the phone with a Florida Blue representative and she recommended a Select plan. It is identical to the Options plan and also a PPO, but nearly 70% cheaper. The representative explained that the only difference is that the network is a bit smaller for Select vs Options plans. A quick search shows that all her current doctors would still be in network with Select but I also want to consider the possibility of additional care/specialists as she ages.

It seems ideal to switch over to the Options plan from what the representative explained but also seems too good to be true. Does anybody have any experience with these plans or advice on other things to consider with Select plans?

I want to make sure that there are no limitations with it that I'm not aware of from what the representative explained (iE. higher specialty drug costs or anythig else vs Options plans).

Thanks in advance!
