EOB sent but no bills from provider

Hi everyone,

I have question I hope to get answers for.

I have problem that need frequent visit to dr. My first visit was sometimes ago. My insurance usually send me a EOB ~1.5 months after each visit that stated the amount I owe is $50 (I received 4 so far). However, the dr office has never sent me the bill to pay those $50 I owe.

I live in a state that have “timely billing” law which from my understand is the healthcare provider have to bill me within that time frame otherwise, I won’t have to pay. Now, my first visit has passed that time frame but still no bills for me from them. I still see that dr very frequently and the staff very familiar with me so them forget to bill me kinda doesn’t make sense. I was told by few people that not to pay until they give me a bill and if they forget, it’s their fault. So should I just continue to ignore this? Or what do you think I should do in my situation?
