Employer Changing Insurance Providers close to due date

Hi,

Just wanted to see if anyone has gone through something similar, but my current employer is changing health insurance providers effective 9/30. I'm currently pregnant and due in mid October, and from what I understand, there will not be a lapse in coverage. However, that effectively means that my current health insurance plan (United) ends on 9/30, and I have a 30 day enrollment window starting Oct 1 to sign up for the new health insurance provider (Aetna) with coverage beginning retroactive to 10/1. My current OB and hospital are luckily in network for the new health insurance plan, but I will likely not know my new member ID or health insurance info when I give birth.

Does this mean that my hospital and OB will put claims made post 9/30 on hold until I give them my new health insurance info? Or is United going to be billed the claim, and then I'll have to call the hospital and OB with my new insurance info so they can cancel and rebill to Aetna?

I was just communicated this insurance transition date since I was put on medical leave earlier, so I'm getting stressed trying to understand how my insurance will work considering that I am weeks away from giving birth.

Thanks
