“Employee sponsored” United Healthcare package at job I interviewed for

I’m 27, going through the interview process for my first ever “real” job, as I recently graduated from grad school. I know nothing about health insurance (parents paid growing up, then undergrad I was on the schools health insurance, and same with graduate school). I interviewed for a job yesterday and I was hoping that somebody here could explain the company’s (NYC based design company) plan to me as if I am a nine-year-old😂. I’m basically typing out my chicken, scratch notes from the interview:

United Healthcare “Employee sponsored healthcare” They (my employer) pays 900/month “From pre-tax income” (?)

I’m sorry the notes I wrote down in my interview aren’t more descriptive. But again, just curious what this all means when broken down and applied to life. And whether it’s a good package or just “meh”

Thanks guys!

Edit: Age 27, Zipcode:10028 (Brooklyn NYC) Income:0 now, this job is offering between 55k—70k I would imagine (have not gotten the offer yet)
