Doctor’s office charged the wrong insurance

Wife and I had a child and the doctors office sometimes charge the wrong insurance. Long story short my wife is covered by the VA and is on my family plan through work. The VA dosnt do OB/L&D so they are covering everything. When setting everything up with the doctor we were told my insurance was primary and the VA was secondary. I told them that the Va is covering it so the Va insurance had to be first. I was told “the system won’t let us put the VA insurance first but billing knows to charge it first” well apparently not because my insurance is still being charged. So I have a handful of bills that I didn’t know about because I haven’t received anything in the mail until one of the claims went into collections. So I then checked my insurances app and looked at the EOB and that’s when I found the handful of charges to my insurance. So I guess I’m wondering what should be my next step. Go to the office and talk to someone in billing to see if they can reverse it or something? I’m already fighting the one that went to collections but I need to get the other claims taken care of before they also end up in collections. Thanks in advance!
