Do i just give up and accept that there are no options?

This is a yearly nightmare for my family. My job offers insurance however the premiums are insane. We cannot afford it. I cannot qualify for tax credits for myself because my work offers (terrible) but still complaint plans.

I have been recently diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and having complications from a previous surgery. I am the oldest, therefore most expensive person.

No matter what why i divide the family it’s too much. Tax credits for just my family only bring the cost down minimally and I cannot guarantee that my income won’t end up being slightly higher (I’m in sales)

It’s just so depressing. There are not options for me to get the care i need and we cannot afford what my work or the government thinks we can afford.

At this point our health insurance would be as much as our rent.

Just a shot in the dark, is there something I’m missing here?

If you’re basically living paycheck to paycheck – but according to the federal government you should have an extra $1500 a month just for premiums – and your employer offers insurance but that insurance is ridiculously expensive what do you do?

We live in Kansas so ya. That doesn’t help. My husband is a full time med student. We are a one income Family. We can only get insurance for him Through school. That’s almost $400 A month for just him.

I really feel like either I’m Missing something or There Seriously are no Options for us. We haven’t had consistent health insurance … ever.
