tldr: doctor tells me to come back for blood collection. I had to make appointment with doctor to get this blood sample afaik. I went and it was a legit useless appointment followed by them collecting my blood because I asked for it. Now im billed $126 for the visit. Can I appeal?

Made a doctors appointment after being doctor told me to come back in 3 months to get blood collected to see progress from a medicine I was prescribed.

I schedule to make the appointment with that doctor, they did not have any option online/phone for me to schedule straight to the blood collection. Also btw, this clinic outsources their phone calls, so when I called, they didn’t even know what I was asking them.

When I get there, nurse checks my vitals (because I guess I scheduled an appointment?) and then the doctor comes and submits a blood sample collection request. He tells me in the future to contact his nurse directly to get blood sample appointment. This was nice of him, but tbh why wasn’t this information told to me before? or mentioned online on their appointment creation portal?

Now I have $126 billed to my deductible which I do not want to pay, I did not want to have a “doctors appointment” but had no choice because of how confusing the clinic made it. So I want to appeal this, is this enough reason?

What sucks is they technically did “see” me during that appointment by checking my vitals, but I did not directly ask for that. I didn’t directly ask for anything except to get my blood collected as requested for follow up. I even wrote “follow up blood collection” under my “reason for appointment” when scheduling.
