Do I have bad health insurance plan?

I've been working for a very small employer in the U.S. for a few years now. I've been relatively healthy so far and haven't had to go to the doctors and didn't know much about health insurance plans other than that I have one and my employer pays for it.

I recently started getting interested in health insurance plans as I'm thinking of starting to get regular health check ups. I did a little bit of research and it looks like I have a very high deductible and co-pay compared to most other people. I don't know what the average is but this is what my health insurance says.

Individual deductible: 6,250 a year for in network and 12,500 for out of network

Individual out of pocket max: 8,500 a year

Medical Plan type: PPO

Prescription drugs plan type: PPO

Is this a really bad plan? Do you need to know more information to tell? If so, what information do you need?
