I turn 26 in November so I (thought) I got on Obamacare today. Looked up Obamacare signup, went to Obamacare-registration.org, entered my info and they said a representative would be calling me in the next couple minutes. Sure enough, I answer and sign up. He says it’s BCBS, $183 a month, today being $188 for a $5 fee. Everything sounded legit, signed up and payed and was given access to a Care Connect account I can access via the MyMemberInfo app. Said my coverage kicks in November 1st when open enrollment begins.

However, looking back at the emails he sent me it ends in @firsthealthenroll.org. This kinda raised a red flag and I went to the website and it’s a WordPress website. Then I went to Reddit. There seems to be a lot of red flags but I haven’t seen anyone mention Care Connect but I’m seeing red flags about First Health and them not being a legit insurance 🙁 the guy said Care Connect is through Unified Caring Association and why my dental and vision would say “this is not health coverage.” ??

The email seems legit but I’m freaking out. The header is “First Health Enrollment” and below it is “What’s Next? ObamaCare Policy Instructions” followed by a list of what to expect email wise and in the mail, saying “you’ll receive letters in the mail from the health insurance marketplace which is the Federal Government.” Possibly asking for verification on income, citizenship and residency.

My BCBS medical plan is supposedly blue standardized silver. The linked plan with BCBS leads to the actual website but not to an account or anything just a link to find providers in my state and also a link to what my plan covers in my state.
