In 2021, I had an X-ray and I'm covered by Medicaid in my state since I'm 18. I'm entitled to two X-rays a year until I turn 21, but my current dentist won't do another one until 2026. My Medicaid coverage might end next year( due to being sick and moving around a lot for school) and my wisdom teeth are causing me a lot of pain. The bottom ones were removed last year, but Medicaid refused to cover the removal of the top ones. Now a year later pain is so bad that some days it hurts to talk, and the area where they're growing in is white. The dentist said there's nothing to be done until 2026, but I'm honestly in a lot of pain. My previous dentist, who was replaced without informing me this year, gave me a referral and helped me a lot with my post-surgery recovery last year. I'm not sure if I should wait until my next check-up or try to get a referral approved sooner. The pain is so severe that I can't sleep some nights. And I don't know why they can't do an x ray untill I'm 20 my teeth were about to push out last year medcaid was just being weird because medcaid was convinced I had another insurance when I didn't. I don't know does anyone have any tips on what I should do
