Covered California / Medical issue
My family has been going back and forth for weeks from the medical office / covered California office. Sibling and I have our own insurance now. My parents no longer qualify for medical because of their income. So the covered California office is telling us that my sibling and I still appear on the medical application and that we need to be removed since we are no longer tax dependents. My dad’s program eligibility comes out as “Medi-cal pending review” and my mom’s program eligibility says “Covered California.” So they are saying we need to go to the medical office and tell them to remove my sibling and I from the application and for them to switch my dad from medical to covered California since my parents are married / their annual income is too high. The medical office keeps telling us they fixed the problem but then we go back to the covered California office and they say they can’t do anything (sign up my parents for CC) because they (medical employees) haven’t fixed the application. This has been like 6 times of back and forth. It’s getting annoying and my parents need insurance. Any help or anyone know what we can do?
