Copay accepted at time of appointment now I’m being billed $415 as “out of network”

Hello, basically as explained above I went to an urgent care (the only one in my county) for a UTI and at the time of the appointment I paid my $40 CoPay. It’s been about 3 weeks since that appointment and I’ve just received a bill stating that my remaining balance is $415 as they are “out of network”. My question is, if my out of network urgent care is no copay, then why on earth would they accept an in network copay? Doesn’t that imply they are in network? Can I dispute this bill at all? It seems very misleading to take a copay that only applies to in network facilities and then come out and say “oh yeah by the way none of this was in network”. This is obviously my fault for not checking and assuming the only urgent care in our area would be in network, but apparently the urgent care (WellNow) has decided to stop accepting my insurance as of this year. I was unaware this had changed as I just went there at the end of last year and only needed to pay my copay last time.

I live in NY if that makes any difference!
