Considering switching from Anthem BC BS Lumenos to ManhattanLife Elite/Elite+. Need opinions
My job offers Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield with either a high deductible or low deductible. I chose the high deductible plan because the premium was much lower and I hardly ever have medical issues.
Now I'm married with two kids. Still, we never hit the deductible(8k) nor OOP(12k), but of course we are going much more frequently getting medical care.
I'm searching for independent options in the hopes of finding a provider that will actually cover things. Over the years, Anthem either doesn't cover or covers a weak %. I do understand that ManhattanLife is a different type of insurance (no deductible, pays set amount per category).
After chatting with the agent that offered ManhattanLife, I did some research on reviews. It looks like their health insurance dept has the highest rating compared to their other options.
I understand that most health insurance options are not great, but before I commit to switching, I'm hoping for feedback or other suggestions of better options.
My wife and I are 27-30. Kids are both under 4. Location is Wisconsin.
Thanks!
