I am a 22 year old living at home with my parents and looking for a job so right now I make no money. My parents claim me as a dependent. Based on the definition of a household on the application it seems that I am my own household that makes $0 per year:

"What is a "Household"? Include these people on this application: 1) yourself; 2) your spouse, if you're married; 3) any children you are caring for who live with you; 4) your partner who lives with you; 5) anyone you include on your federal income tax return.

However I've seen stuff about your parents income can disqualify you from Medicaid and that if my parents claim me as a dependent then they have to fill out the application, include me, and only list me as people applying for health insurance so I am just confused.

I’ve called the help line twice and they seem to say that yes, I am my own household that makes $0, but after a quick search of this sub it seems that many have been saying that others in similar situations are not a one person household.

NY btw.
