Concerned I Bought a Bad Plan- 26 yo Student

I'm a 26 year old medical student who was kicked off my parents' BCBS plan about 9 months ago. I originally had spoken with BCBS and they agreed to extend my coverage through COBRA, but once I made my first payment and called to confirm my coverage my insurance agent had "left the office" for a different job. I was told there was no proof of my payment or insurance coverage, that they had "cleaned their desk out" there was "nothing they could do". At this time my board exams were starting up, so my parents helped me find coverage as I was incredibly short on time. They sent me a limited benefit multiplan that they had signed me up for under "Smart Health 100A with the included Discount Health benefits from RNG Advisors LLC". Included with this was Outlook vision coverage.

Since signing up, I have had issues with coverage (from vision to PCP to urgent cares). At a recent optometrist appointment for contacts I was told my insurance was not covered. I was in need of vison on a time crunch, thus just paid out of pocket for the visit. At this visit, I was unfortunately told I have very concerning signs for glaucoma along with my chronic cataracts. I have called almost every ophthalmologist in my area, and they have not heard of this insurance. When I call the insurance company, they tell me the offices are not doing their jobs to properly understand that I am covered. I'm not sure what to do, at this point I am considering cancelling the plan as I am seriously concerned for legitimacy and signing up for Medicaid (I am a student on loans, many of my classmates opt for medicaid as our school health insurance is abysmal for the high cost). At least with Medicaid I would get some sort of treatment, even if it wasn't with a provider I wanted.

Any help with this is seriously appreciated. I was urged by my optometrist that I need close follow up and treatment soon, but no ophthalmologist office will schedule me without proof that my insurance is legit. I would like to not lose my vision before I can even become an MD lol so any guidance on this I am genuinely thankful for.
