COBRA provider deactivated my health insurance plan

I recently retired and my health insurance coverage ended June 30, 2023. It took several phone calls and emails but I FINALLY received COBRA paperwork mid-August from my former employer. (I am not old enough for Medicare and we are moving to different state in a few months so I decided COBRA would be the best temporary option.) I submitted the open enrollment forms and payment August 16. (I had to pay for July and August, of course. Incidentally, my checks were processed within 24 hours.) I kept checking my health insurance provider (Kaiser Permanente) bc I needed to have labs drawn and get some prescriptions refilled. I was unable to access my account as it had been deactivated. I started calling the COBRA provider to ask when I could expect my account to be reactivated. I was told they need 3-5 business days to process payment and then I need to allow another 7-10 business days for KP to activate my plan. OK. Fast forward: it’s now been a month, I have paid $1500, and I still do not have health insurance. (Yes, I know technically I would be reimbursed if I had a claim but given their subpar performance so far, I do not trust them.) I have called KP. They told me the 3rd party provider is holding up my eligibility update. I have contacted previous employer’s HR dept. NO ONE will help. Meanwhile, I still need Rx and labs!!! Any suggestions????
