Cigna refuses to 100% update a claim

In January I had a claim which was processed initially at 6X the rate on the providers website. I called and the claim was reduced to 125% the public rate. I kept fighting, and Cigna and recently my HR sorted it out for me but with cash on the side as opposed to an updated EOB, so now I am ready to pay. When I was paying the bill I noticed the "remaining responsibility" was way higher than current patient responsibility. Doing some math, I determined it was never updated when the EOB was updated to a more reasonable rate. The patient responsibility so the claim on the website shows my responsibility is $262, of which $133 is payed and $1,100 is remaining. Customer service is refusing to correct the amount, and insists I instead ignore the "remaining responsibility" and manually enter the correct amount, then mark it as payed. I really don't like this idea because without accurate records I feel like it could easily go to collections be mistake if the numbers don't ALL add up and it doesn't show as fully payed. What should I do?
