CIGNA medical Coverage Canceled last month, no notice, always paid on time. Nervous, need advice.
Hello. So, I went into my portal to look up my EOB for some misc coverage questions I had. Upon logging on I find out my coverage is no longer active and has been cancelled. I called the helpline and the rep said she cant see any reason as to why it was canceled on my account, just that it was canceled on Aug 30th 2024 and my payment made on Aug 28th 2024 was refunded to me this morning (Sept 13th 2024. Didn’t know this till she mentioned it and I confirmed via my bank statements).
She said calling the billing department is going to be my best bet on getting a better answer as to why its been cancled. They do not come in till 7am though (about 2 and a half hours from writing this) and I am honestly really scared. I have 2 surgical procedures next month that have taken years to set up.
I know right now there’s really nothing I can do but wait. But I wanted to write here to see if anyone has experienced similar issues or has any advice on getting this fixed or even just for some reassurance if possible.
Im caught up on all my payments, have kept my salary info up to date with the marketplace, haven’t gotten any letters or emails about this previously or otherwise, and I just used my medical insurance to fill one of my prescriptions last week. All discussion appreciated, thank you.
