Chronically ill friends husband threatens to stop paying her insurance
Don't know if this is the best place to post this so I'm sorry if not
Not really sure all the details as to why she isn't on his work plan, or what plan she has, all I know is she has her own private health insurance plan that he pays for since she has never needed to work. A couple years ago at 29 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and takes serious medication, has tons of a doctor appointments, and now has a weekly injection she gives herself which costs like 4,000 for each without insurance. She just told me today , that 2 months ago the doctors noticed something was off and ran tests….and she might now have leukemia đ
For about a year they've been having issues with their marriage, his new thing is telling her that he's going to stop paying for it and that she can figure it out..
Can he even do that? Does he have to notify her before he does it? I'm really worried and she's a complete wreck and doesn't know what to do. He didn't want her to work enven though they don't have kids, if she proceeded with divorce, she would have no place of her own to live, plus she'd have zero money. She always comes to me for advice and I'm just not sure what to tell her…
