Catch 22 with trying to find a doctor who will provide PA for TMJ because they all consider it cosmetic so they can charge more…

I am going to explode. United says they will cover Botox in the jaw for TMJ (ive paid full price for this previously and it was Night and day difference it worked so well so I wanted to keep doing it but with insurance coverage as I am due this in my benefits) as long as I get a prior auth. they give me a list of eligible doctors. not ONE doctor on the entire list will do this as a medical procedure – only cosmetic (so they can be paid more) and so they can’t provide a super-bill or prior auth that is required. Asked united what to do about this catch 22 and they say they just can’t help… they can only give list of doctors… but the doctors aren’t able to do this… so around and around I go 😡

WHAT????? they are allowed to just deny me coverage because I can’t find a doctor who will do what they claim is required. they aren’t required to help me find such doctor and i’m just stuck not getting help. What the hell do I do? I don’t want to accept that they can just get away with this and not have to provide me this service that is 100% coverages in my plan.
