Can I have both COBRA and Medicaid or will I risk losing COBRA?

I left my job due to serious health issues a year ago and now have COBRA (which I am eligible for for 36 months). I am still very ill and going to all sorts of doctors and treatments. Since I am still out of work and have no income, I qualify for state Medicaid. I need the COBRA insurance because my main doctors take it and do not accept Medicaid. However, some other providers like my physical therapist, labs, imagining facilities, etc do take Medicaid and I could therefore use it here to save on the hefty copays and deductibles I have to pay with COBRA. Am I allowed to have both COBRA and Medicaid or would I be at risk for losing my COBRA eligibility if I enroll in Medicaid?

I ran this by billing at one of my doctor's offices and she warned me I could lose COBRA eligibility by getting Medicaid, but I don't know how accurate this is. I am terrified of doing anything to lose my COBRA coverage because it's a matter of life-or-death for me to keep the exact doctors and treatment facilities I am using because they are critical to my care and there is no way I could afford them out-of-pocket.
