Can a company terminate your private health insurance if you sign up for medicare? (Full time employee of a large corporation) I thought the ACA stipulates that it should be offered to them?

hello, posting on behalf of my mother (who might respond to any replies). My mom works for a very large business (50,000+ employees). She is full time (40/week) and has been with them for about 20 years. She turned 65 last year, and currently has private insurance through the company (same insurance she's had for years). She is debating signing up for medicare as well, to help with some medical costs, but the company told her that she can no longer keep her private insurance if she signs up for medicare. Is this true?

As far as I'm aware, the ACA mandates that business with 40+ full time employees, must offer health insurance to full time employees, or face a fine. Is there an exception if the employee has medicare (or maybe some other form of insurance?)

I asked this on the medicare subreddit but there were various responses, hoping to ask here as well. I looked over the ACA policy, and I can't find any exclusion for if the employee has medicare. Do you know the best place to ask this?

Mom is 65 years old, in Oklahoma, USA.
