(California/$0 income) Enrolled in Medi-cal pharmacy confusion? Also, Covered CA eligibility confusion.

Hello! Living in California, 27 yrs old, $0 income. Sorry if there's something utterly obvious i'm missing – my mind's been all over the place as I was suddenly laid off recently and have been a bit of a mess.

Now that I'm unemployed, I have a $0 income, and I no longer have any health/vision/dental insurance (per my separation- my insurance ended immediately after i was laid off). This is my first experience not having insurance, so I'm at a loss as to what's really happening.

I pretty much immediately applied for unemployment insurance because I am disabled and both have doctors appointments coming up next week and have a multitude of pharmaceutical prescriptions that I need filled next week.

I have my EDD UI account setup and got an email saying my unemployment application was processed. Great – but now I think I have to wait in the physical mail for my notice of unemployment insurance award, and then upload that for proof of income? I don't think there's a way for me to obtain this virtually, but it seems like I need this to apply for Covered California to actually prove my income. It's saying I'm only currently eligible for Medi-cal… unsure if I should just put in the attestation form for no income…? Given the background here, i have two main immediate pieces of confusion:

Plan choice suggestions: My understanding overall is that covered california provides the most benefits. But I'm confused, right now when I'm looking at my covered california eligibility results, it's saying my only program eligibility is Medi-cal; i'm assuming this is just because I have no proof of income because currently my eligibility for covered cal is saying my "household income is too low based on household income of $0.00 for the year ($0.00 a month)"- that can't be right, can it? Pharmacy confusion: Was I just enrolled in medi-cal right away conditionally? I am under the impression that I just straight up don't have insurance but I called my pharmacy in somewhat of a panic saying my old insurance is no longer active and the pharmacist said that my old insurance was still on file but i also have a medi-cal plan?

I feel like I need to call multiple help service centers at this point but wanted some insight on maybe where to start because there's a lot going on that makes me feel like I'm going to have a panic attack haha. Any insight overall would be great. First and foremost the plan choice suggestion.

Please let me know if I should post this elsewhere – I'm so confused.
