CA; Worried about increase in income – Medi-Cal eligibility

I'm a California resident. I was unemployed from May to August so I qualified for Medi-Cal with $0 monthly income at that time.

At the beginning of September, however, I received my first freelancing paycheck for $1500 (which was going to be a biweekly paycheck, resulting in $3,000 for September overall). And I reported this $3,000 monthly income change to Covered California (since that's where I originally applied for Medi-Cal) on Sept 9.

After reporting my income on Covered California my Medi-Cal case changed from "eligible" to:

Medi-Cal
Awaiting Review
embryoromulus, you are Awaiting Review for Medi-Cal:
Your local County Office will review your Medi-Cal eligibility and contact you if additional information is needed. You do not need to take any action at this time.
Your local county office will contact you if they need more information, or you can contact your local county office if you have questions.

So I've been continuing to use my Medi-Cal benefits (just broke my leg so health care is crucial) as I wait for them to review my records and cancel my coverage. After they cancel it, I'd plan to switch to CoveredCA if I'm still eligible.

I'm just worried because it has been over a month since I reported my income and the review is still pending. Is it okay for me to continue using benefits in the meantime? Is there something more I need to do? From that message on CoveredCA I think I'm in the clear, but am worried that maybe I'd get fined or have to pay back money for procedures on my broken leg in September.

Thanks for the help in advance!
