CA to CO at 30 Weeks Pregnant, Losing Medi-Cal & Skipped Open Enrollment For Husband’s Small Remote Business Job

Like the title says, my family (husband/wife/2 year old) is moving to Colorado after graduating from a master's program in California where we have been receiving care through Medi-cal. Recently, my husband started working for a very small company (6 employees) that would be happy to cover him/us but he declined the coverage before we knew we were expecting and where we were going to move after graduation.

Once we are in Colorado but hopefully sooner, I'll have to find an OBGYN that will take me and accept our insurance.

Our income will be too high to accept any public help at that point for which we are grateful, but how do we navigate getting our own insurance to bridge us until the next enrollment window.? I don't even know where to start looking.

My biggest worry is having to pay full price for the birth and any additional hospital services surrounding this new baby. Plus we have a toddler that has visited the ER more times than I'd like.
