Buying marketplace health insurance tax credit confusing MD

A very general question, the relevant image is attached. I am recently unemployed and trying to do Maryland's state insurance and only earned about 5k this year before quitting in mid January, so I qualify for this plan after entering a lot of confusing info.
Can anyone tell me what this means, I really have no idea. What does the slider of the premium tax credit mean? Does that mean I have to pay back the tax credit used to lower my monthly premium eventually? Or is it given to me? Do I ever compensate for using or not using? I am trying to go to doctor's visit and mental health appointments at the lowest cost and thought applying for maryland health connection would be useful. Thank you in advance.
