Birth cost w/ insurance BUT deductible won’t be met

Hope I am using the right flair! Apologies in advance.

I am curious to find out if anyone has had experience with this. 29F, Texas, Income: 73K

I am due January 2025. Since deductibles reset January 1, it is basically impossible to reach my deductible before my baby is born. My insurance (United Healthcare Choice Plus) explained to me that because my deductible won’t likely be met, I would be responsible for the “allowable” amount based on an contract between my insurance and the hospital.

I know all insurance plans and allowable/contract amounts are different, but I was hoping someone has had a similar situation with their deductible NOT being met and could give me an estimate of what they paid. I’m a person who likes to run numbers and have a general idea of what could happen beforehand, and I’m clueless here. My hospital has a price estimator and they take my insurance into account, but I think the simulator is running it based on my deductible being met.

Any input/insight appreciated!
