Best health plan to choose, considering pregnancy?

Hi all! I just found this sub and am hoping to get some help understanding what plan is the best option for me to choose.

Background info: I just started a new job and need to choose a health ins plan for both 2022 and 2023 (they can be different). My husband is currently not working so he will be on my health ins. We plan to start trying to conceive in February. We are in our late 20s, live on the East Coast, and have no health problems.

General questions I have:

Relationship between out of pocket max and deductible. OOP max is higher than deductible, which I don’t understand if the point is that you only pay out of pocket until you hit the deductible.

If I don’t get pregnant by the end of March, I wouldn’t be delivering likely until early 2024. How do I factor this into choosing a plan, given the deductible would reset?

If we are both on one health plan, do we have to hit the family deductible or do pregnancy related costs only apply to (my) individual deductible?

Insurance plan options: all Aetna, two HDHPs and two PPOs with lower deductibles. I’m going to just give details for the lowest and highest deductible plans.

Lowest deductible plan: -Premium: $646.33/month for employee/spouse -deductible: $400/$800 (individual/family) -OOP max: $2200/$4400 (individual/family)

Highest deductible plan: -Premium: $149.25/month for employee/spouse -deductible: $2850/$5700 (individual/family) -OOP max: $5500/$11000 (individual/family)

Thank you in advance!
