I’m turning 26 next year and so I need to start looking at my options for medical insurance.

But I don’t just want the cheapest insurance because I regularly see doctors and I’m willing to pay a little extra for better coverage.

I’m currently a seasonal worker so PPO isn’t exactly possible, but I’m trying to go for full time.

I currently work a $15/hr job and I have a few prescribed medications I take daily. I see a therapist every other week and I have other health issues but haven’t been diagnosed because FL healthcare is a joke. So I mostly just deal with those issues without a doctor, but sometimes they can get bad enough to need to be seen and I’m a little paranoid that I could wind up in the hospital suddenly because it’s happened before.

Basically, I’m looking for something with a low deductible and/or copay. And preferably widely accepted by most doctors. And maybe also good with unexpected hospital visits. But I also don’t have a lot of money so I can’t afford a super expensive insurance. From what I’ve heard expensive insurance isn’t really worth it anyways. What are my options?
