Benefit Coordination with new secondary, and Max OOP primary

Due to job changes, I may have access to a second insurance shortly. Currently I am on a medication that is non-formulary and therefore not covered by my insurance, it would be covered by the second insurance, (and at a much lower cost, even lower than the premiums and does not require the deductible to be met). I have for brief periods of time been covered by more than one plan, and worked with coordination of benefits for medical and dental, but not pharmacy. In all those situations though, everything was at least partially covered/allowed by both plans, would there be any issues since it is not covered by the first plan?

I have already reached the OOP for the first plan, the only reason id consider the second plan is the cost of medication. With having reached the OOP on the primary plan, how does this affect cost of the any medical expenses, with secondary insurance? Does the primary still cover everything?
