BCBS of Michigan considering maternity elective because of claim address

My wife is currently pregnant and is seeing a midwife through University of Michigan Medicine. Every claim that was sent to BCBS of Michigan with the hospital's address (almost all because they all funnel to the hospital's billing department) is going towards the deductible because "they don't cover a hospital doing this work". If the address on the claim were a facility or office, they'd be covered 100% before deductible. The labs are done at facilities and the midwives have their own office. BCBS says they just look at the address and assume it's a hospital and there's nothing I can do about it. How disgustingly messed up is that?!?!?

Does anyone think I have a chance if I appeal the claims and explain in the appeal that these were not actually done at the hospital and that the hospitals billing department just handles the billing for the offices and labs?
