BCBS making it extremely difficult to file claims

Just a rant.

BCBS of Massachusetts online claim system has been "temporarily unavailable" for at least 2 months now. This billion dollar corporation, which operates a website with a primary purpose of allowing people to view and file claims, is seemingly unable to fix this issue.

The only other option is to file a paper claim, which cannot be verified to have been delivered (unless you pay for certified mail). If I didn't know better, it would seem they are making it intentionally difficult to file claims, as it is to their benefit if you simply give up on being reimbursed.

How is this fair? I am forced to pay for this service I cannot use. The paper claims I have filed are "undelivered" or "not yet in our system" (> 30 days, btw). BCBS, what are your software engineers doing? What is so broken about your online claim portal that requires you take it down for 2 months? Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
