Any Experience with Geoblue (Xplorer Premier?)

We're an otherwise healthy couple moving back to the states soon and will be working short term contracts throughout the US for half of the year and spending the other half of the year abroad. Traditionally, we have used GeoBlue for our international health insurance and whatever we could buy on the exchange for our domestic insurance.

I recently came across Xplorer Premier from GeoBlue, which would cover us domestically, provided we are in the US <9 months a year (which applies to us). Looking through the materials, it does not seem to have many of the "gotchya" coverages most of the crummy short-term health insurance products have, including arbitrary caps. Beyond the possible concern of the preexisting healthcare exclusion, does anyone have any good or bad experience with this form of health insurance?

We are primarily using the insurance for catastrophic/emergency coverage. We can self pay for routine visits/medications or seek routine car abroad where it is cheaper.
