Am I anle to still join COBRA after quitting a job I joined after being laid off?

Hi!

Very specific inquiry as I could not find an answer and wondering if I could join COBRA with this particular situation I find myself in –

July 12 – Laid off from Job A, health insurance (Aetna) from said job lasted until end of July with COBRA being offered afterwards on 8/1

July 28 – Started new full-time Job B

August 1 – Accepted new health insurance with new job B (Cigna)

Today, 8/27 – I realize that I want to quit job (in short, it's just completely awful and I'm realizing I absolutely cannot stay there)

I already e-mailed HR from Job B and they said upon quitting, health insurance will last until end of that current month and from a quick Google search, I have 60 days to sign up for COBRA after being laid off and it seems the thing that would reject me is if I have a current active health insurance.

So come to the topic line question – if I quit immediately, run Job B's health insurance until 8/31, would I still be able to sign up with COBRA through Job A come September, which will still be within 60 days?

Thanks for the responses!
