All of my health insurance options are bad, but I need help with mental health. Is there anything else I can do?

I’m in a weird spot. First of all, I’m in Texas, and I’m a 27-year-old woman. I have a contract job that pays $20 an hour (before taxes are taken out, of course), and is considered full-time. I love this job, but, since taking it, I’ve ended up on this weird cusp of being able to get help from the government at all. Basically, I make “too much” for more affordable options, but I make too little to pay out of pocket.

That’s the spot I’ve ended up in with health insurance. Paying out of pocket would gut me, but I have no good, affordable health insurance options. I either have a more affordable monthly premium, but super high deductibles (and the insurance wouldn’t even start covering things until the deductible is met), or higher monthly premiums, but lower deductibles. It feels like I can’t really take either.

But, I desperately need more help with mental health, and especially getting treated for ADHD. It’s ruining my life, and I can’t do anything about it. But, it seems like I won’t be able to afford help for it without regularly having to fork out a shit ton of money.

Is there literally anything else I can do, or is this it?
