32m getting jaw surgery and braces. A few questions. As I am poor

I Chose the simple life. Self employed. No debt. In turn, I also don't have that much money saved.

I need jaw surgery. I can barely eat food anymore. Only a few molars contact on each side.

The oral surgeon says I have to have braces before surgery, during, and after. This is in order to fix the crowding and alignment first. I need braces during surgery so they can wire my mouth shut. I need them after so they can still move my teeth.

Point is, I need jaw surgery AND an orthodontist to put brackets on.

I believe my insurance will cover the surgery, How much? Not a damn clue. Probably screwed here too.

But the $7000 for braces will not be covered. And i really am torn. How can i fix my jaw if i can barely afford braces.

I cant help but wonder if I can somehow get the braces covered by insurance? I have fairly straight teeth and this is not a cosmetic surgery/endeavor. I could give a damn about my slightly imperfect teeth.

7k braces + god knows what for the surgery. might be time to give up. I've had a good 32 years. I cant accept 30k debt. I live off of the cash I make per day (I'm a personal trainer).
