2.5-Month Gap in Coverage Between Ohio Medicaid and Employer Insurance in California

Turned 26 recently (i.e. pretty new to all of this). Current position has me recieving a small "living stipend" that’s meager enough to the point where I could get on Ohio Medicaid (provider is AmeriHealth Caritas).

But I got stir-crazy recently and started seeking employment outside of Ohio. There's a position in California that's very promising; nothing is set in stone, but I'm an especially strong candidate for the line of work and I find the job site very appealing. I would start mid-August HOWEVER the employer insurance (Kaiser Permanente) wouldn’t kick in until November 1. I am on three different medications, two of which are especially important to my well-being.

Is there any way I can stay covered between August and November? Is it possible to work something out with Ohio Medicaid to stay covered until employer benefits take effect, or would moving out of state get me booted immediately? Could I get temporarily transferred to California Medicaid? Does Covered California offer temporary insurance? Would I enroll in COBRA? Do I just pay the full price for my medications until November?
