Club Insure talks to Business Development Executive, Nick Howell

Meet Nick Howell

Nick is one of our longest standing members at Club Insure, acting as Business Development Executive. Nick has been with the business for 9 years, working with sports and social clubs of all shapes and sizes.

Most of our client’s first conversations with Club Insure are through Nick. He is the friendly face on the end of the phone who understand the wants and needs of clubs, occasionally utilising his wealth of knowledge about insurance to dip into when needed.

Nick works with key organisation within the sector, as well as our coordinates with our sister company NDML. He builds relationships with BARBI, the NTIA, and operators in the nightlife, hospitality and leisure industry.

Nick discusses his role:

“Mine’s an introductory role. I help introduce clubs to Club Insure, many are potential clients looking to source the best insurance packages and solutions out there.”

“Most recently I’ve specialised in the golf sector. I’ve been talking to several, if not the majority, of the top 100 golf clubs in the UK. What they like about us is the personable side of things, that comes from the levels of service we provide and the knowledge we have. I work on behalf of Kingsley (Melville) and Nick (Clifford), who are both Club Insure’s golf Executives. They have the best knowledge in the sector, each with 25 years’ experience. Club Insure is second to none in terms of knowledge and customer service.”

Nick discusses his involvement with charities at Club Insure:

“I took part in the annual Pints for Pinder, which is a drink on behalf of our good friend and Club Insure director Lloyd. It’s at Darrington Golf Club every year, and it’s a great day out, actually I had a great round that year so I really enjoyed that.”

“We’ve done several charity bike rides, the best one was last year, the Pinder 200 – where we went from our office in Leeds to Sunderland Football stadium in 2 days which was gruelling to say the least. It’s all good fun and we raised a lot of money.”
