Bikesure announce sponsorship with British Superbike team True Heroes Racing
Bikesure are proud to announce they will be sponsoring True Heroes Racing in 2023, the UK’s first motorcycle race team dedicated to supporting wounded, injured and sick UK service personnel and veterans.
Announcing the latest deal, Bikesure’s Rob Balls said: “We’re extremely delighted to be working with True Heroes once again in 2023. True Heroes Racing are such an inspiring team to be associated with, and we can’t wait to see how these bike-mad ex-servicemen get on this season.”
Who are True Heroes Racing?
True Heroes Racing is a British motorcycle racing team who compete in prestigious competitions such as the Bennetts British Superbike Superstock 1000 and the British TriOptions Cup competitions under the guise of the British Superbike Championships series, and are the only all-disabled team to do so.
Their aim is “to engage, empower and inspire” the disabled and disadvantaged community through training, mentoring and assistance as part of a team of able bodied and wounded, injured and sick (WIS) UK Service Personnel and veterans to enable them to take a full and active part in competitive motorsport.
They use physical training and endurance activities to boost confidence of ex-military personnel, encourage social inclusion and help to aid the rehabilitation and recovery of WIS personnel and veterans.
True Heroes also work in conjunction with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centres, where they provide inspirational respite and holistic rehabilitation activities for military personnel undergoing recovery treatment and their families.
True Heroes Racing to compete in top British motorcycle competitions
True Heroes had a phenomenal season in 2022 as they celebrated their tenth anniversary. However, the team are hoping to do even better in 2023 as they compete in some of the most prestigious motorcycle competitions in the UK.
Experienced riders such as Dave Mackay and Dave Sellers return to compete in the Superstock 100, while Charlie White and Leon Wilton are flying the flag in the British Supersport, and James Cleary and Harrison Mackay are competing in the Junior Supersport and British Talent Cup respectively. All of the competitions are part of the British Superbike Championships.
The team will also have riders from their grassroots programme competing for the fourth year in a row. Chris Duggan is back and will be racing alongside teammate Josh Whetton in the IMS 600, whilst British Army veterans Dan Cleary and Scott McFarlane take part in the Sound of Thunder and Minitwins Championship.
