Introducing the Yellow Jersey British Triathlon Age-Group Ambassadors

As part of Yellow Jersey’s renewed six year partnership with British Triathlon, we are excited to announce  that we will be supporting six members of the Great Britain Age-Group Team as British Triathlon Age-Group Ambassadors for 2023. For those who may not know, The Great Britain Age-Group Team provide British Triathlon members with the opportunity to represent Great Britain internationally at World and European Championships in a variety of swim, bike, run disciplines and distances.

The renewal of Yellow Jersey’s partnership with British Triathlon, which was announced in November 2022, will see Yellow Jersey serve as BTF’S Official Cycle and Travel Insurance Partner through 2028. With the new Ambassador Programme being a cornerstone of the partnership.

Without further a do, we would like to welcome to the team Megan Powell, Tom Radley, Helen Godfrey, David Vogwell, Kate Hutchinson and Yiannis Christodoulou.

Our joint panel selected the six athletes out of more than 350 applicants with the vision that they share their experiences in the sport as they advance. Each athlete has qualified to represent the GB Age-Group Team at international events in 2023. They will  share their sporting experiences on their social media profiles throughout the year, so keep an eye out for them!

As a part of the YJ Ambassador Programme, each athlete received an exclusive package from Yellow Jersey and British Triathlon as well as other partners of the national governing body. The package includes a year’s free Ultimate bicycle insurance & Yellow Jersey team kit, an annual Ultimate British Triathlon Home Nation Membership, free entry into 2023 World Triathlon Championship Series in Sunderland, a GB Age-Group tri suit with Yellow Jersey branding, as well as equipment from other British Triathlon partners including HUUB, On Running, OTE and Wahoo.

The athletes started their year of support by participating in a training day at British Triathlon’s Loughborough Performance Centre. There, they participated in workshops led by athletes from the World Class Programme Ben Dijkstra and Olivia Mathias and a coached run session with  Triathlete coaching legend, Rick Velati, performance coach for British Triathlon.
