Fuelling Around podcast: Howard Donald on Take That’s new album and why F1 isn’t the same anymore

Take That star Howard Donald is the latest guest on award-winning podcast Fuelling Around, as he reveals when the band will be releasing a new album and why his love of Formula 1 has faded.

Donald was part of the original line-up during Take That’s first run, and is one of the three remaining members alongside Mark Owen and Gary Barlow after the departures of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange.

The 54-year-old reveals his love of all things four-wheeled, his incredible car collection and why F1 just isn’t the same anymore since they went turbo.

Take That remains one of the most successful UK boy bands in history with 12 UK number one singles and 8 UK number one albums, thanks to hits such as Pray, Relight my Fire, Back for Good and Never Forget.

Howard Donald reveals when Take That’s new album will be released

Elsewhere on the podcast, Donald reveals how himself, Barlow and Owen have returned to the studio to record a brand new album that is due to be released at the end of the year. Speaking in late 2022 about the band’s plans for the new year, Donald expressed: “We have a film coming out called Greatest Days, which is a proper film about five fans’ love of the band from the early days until the later days starring Aisling Bea. That’s coming out in May or June.

“We’re also doing Hyde Park British Summer Time on July 1, and we have an album coming out at the end of next year. We’re writing it now, and the tour will be in 2024, which is already booked and planned, which is kind of how you’ve got to do it nowadays. You’ve got to book way in advance for stadiums.”
