New employers’ insurance! need some help here something isn’t right!

Hello everyone – appreciate your help if you can provide.

in reviewing my new employers’ rates on insurance and options I believe I have a plan but need to know by monday 2/24.

first observation was dental insurance was outrageous!! for a family it is $98.50/week! something’s not right it’s way out of line. I checked dental plans dot com **not a soliciation or recommendation – but if anyone knows of it — (first google result) for independent insurance outside of my employer and it’s $149/year! seems like a good deal too covers most procedures at arounf 50% and standard maintenance/cleanings at 100%.. any tips/suggestions here for alternates to this (delta dental)

2nd is PPO copay plan $844/month vs a high deductable HSA high coverage plan ($244/month). the latter gives matching up to $900 into the HSA and I would max out $7500/year contributions to build it up since it’s my money to carry with me anywhere if I leave plus earns interest. the 844$ is a bit steep for ~80% coverage plus small deductible.

eye insurance – I didn’t even look at cost as an exam and glasses at walmart is cheap as hell and sufficient.

let me know your thoughts – especially on the dental insurance that seems out of whack. thank you in advance for any help here!
