Question on American Income Life Insurance

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask here about America Income Life Insurance because I’m genuinely confused. Below attached are story part and question part:

Story: 7 days before I called and asked to cancel a whole life plan, and everything went normally, they asked why the cancel, asked more plan options (lower price lower coverage), they said (I don’t know if they lied to me on this too) they have set me on direct bill so it does not take charge in my bank automatically. And cancellation form by email, and they confirmed me with my email, my email is also on AIL online service profile and I checked it. So I don’t think they have the wrong email. It takes 3-5 business days to send a damn form which is basically a template for me to fill. And it’s been 5 business days, nothing.

I am going to place a stop payment order and I will send them an email revoking their authorization, along with another request on getting a cancellation form.

Questions:

Is what I experienced a mistake from them? Or is it a common thing? Do they lie to you on sending a cancellation form? Or do I just get a bad agent? Or is there some kind of company policy to purposefully delay the cancellation process? I don’t feel respected as a customer, it feels like they think you’ll never come back and they just want to loot you one more time.

If I placed a stop payment order, and it does blocked the bank drafts, will the whole life policy just lapse within the stop payment order duration? And it will NOT resume unless I go through the underwriting, signatures, etc. one more time? (I’ll still try to cancel it in their way which is the cancellation form, but I don’t want to pay them anymore)

Will anything I do above affect my parent’s policy plan? Since they basically reached out to me because my parent have policy with them. And I don’t want to mess their policy or cause any issues. Mine is not linked to their policy.

Will there be any cash value for a whole life policy that is only a little less than 1 year? Do they refund it to you once it’s canceled in their way? (Cancellation form)

Has anyone have experience with putting a stop payment order, but charge still went through because they tried another different name/not for the bank draft. Does the bank look at the $ value of the charge for blocking as well?

I thank you all sincerely for any inputs, partial answer helps a lot as well. Thank you!
