It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our business founder Mr. Richard Hunt.

Richard, passed away at Addenbrooke’s hospital, Cambridge on Friday 11th October 2024 following a short illness. He was comfortable and at peace and surrounded by his family.
Richard along with his wife Brenda started Ashbourne Insurance in 1981 with the aim of providing a personal and professional insurance service to local residents and the business community. His inspiration and determination lives on with the next generations that look to continue his legacy, running the family business.
We are extremely proud to be a third generation family-run business and remain committed to those ethics and ambitions that Richard had when he first started over forty-years ago.
Richard was always very keen for the business to play an active role in the local community, he was still a local resident and continued to support other local businesses in his retirement.
Richard is survived by his loving family; wife Brenda, three children; Sarah, Claire and Matthew and four grandchildren; Katie, Jack, Poppy and Abigail. All our thoughts and prayers are with them and their extended families at this difficult time.
