Out of Network cost for vaccines

Hi, I have a medical bill situation that I would like to hear your experience /opinions.I recently took my daughter to have her annual physical exam with the pediatrician who we have been seeing for the last 10+ years. We did have new insurance and I have shown the front desk the new card. No questions were raised. A few vaccines were given at the visit. Later we got a bill for over $2k because the doctor office is out of network with our new insurance. They did state that on their website. I know it is my fault I didn’t double check it before I went. If we are going for a new doctor I will definitely be more careful.

My question now is how much doctors can charge vaccines for out of network patients who are paying basically by cash? All the vaccines are routine ones which will definitely be 100% covered if we use in network insurance. Now the charges range from $400 to $600 per vaccine and doctor office is not willing to offer discount for us to pay. Is there such a thing where there is prevailing/regulated rate a doctor can charge for vaccines? I know I have to eat up the cost but I want to do some research to find out if I am being charged fairly. Thank you all.
